If you are visiting our site, you may already know us. If not, here is a brief background on us and our dogs.
Dr. Richard Steckley, the owner and handler, has been hunting and training dogs since he was a young boy growing up in Kansas. He began competitively field trialing labrador retrievers in Tennessee. Richard's black lab, Buck, was a High Point Dog in the Middle Tennessee Amature Retreiver Club at three years of age before moving back to Kansas.
In Kansas, Richard took on the new task of mastering english pointers, first for bird hunting purposes only, and then for professional field trialing. In the past decade, he has won and placed in dozens of regional and national field trials. He has bred some of the highest quality, and winningist bird and trial dogs you will find.
We don't breed pointers for anything but the pursuit of the next number one hunter and trialer. We do run our breeding program with three primary goals:
- Intelligence
- Nose (scenting ability)
- Style
We get a variety of different dogs ranging from foot hunting companions to big running All Age Field Trialers. We can't possibly keep all of the pups, much as we try, so we've built this site for you. If you are interested in purchasing one of our dogs, we'd love to meet you. |
